What happened to me last Monday?
OK and I just had an MIA day and was pretty lazy! Lazy like Garfield on Monday, just how this blog is named. I slept in a few times and to be honest it was pretty awesome! This happens to a lot of people when work takes over and then we get burned out and feel like hiding under a rock.
Also it was time to file my 2010 taxes, get in studying and now that I passed with 90's, I am part of the "green team", but still in coaching and learning my new jobs. So I have to realize I was not entirely lazy as I'd like to think. To most that would be productive. It's going well, so far and I am liking the support that is given with learning my job but that could change any time. hehe
Last week, I skipped out on doing much else except taking inventory and shopping with coupons to take advantage of sales. I wait for the sale and use the coupon I have, and this way I can stock up my pantry cupboard fairly well and save money. Someone said that they don't coupon at all and don't worry about the cost of things, but just spends her husband's money which ever way she wants. I wouldn't call this person smart per say, as I see the value in my dollars and save some money for the time being. I am not trying to get rich either, I am simply making up for some lost money and this way I break even. I get some brand name products that I like or just skip using the coupon if I see better prices with the generic brands anyways, so it's not like I do this as a full-time thing. I just like the feeling of saving a buck or two and making my own sales, as I often do by watching prices too.
But lately, I just want to do nothing these days. I had a 4 day break the week before the Easter Long weekend. Sure helped with some much needed rest. Back in April, we went to an Easter dinner at my MIL'S (Mother In Law) and she is a super cook. Every type of food like turkey, ham, cabbage rolls, stuffing, potatoes, buns, vegetables, potato salad, gravies and more desserts. If you take a little bit of each by the time I looked I had stacked up.
Then I usually call family and catch-up to everyone, spent some time on etsy.com, and I enjoyed reading my book on the patio deck. I won't mention what I read but it is usually something non-fiction.
I want to stop eating pork and then I made a ham in the evening with brown rice and mixed vegetables. So not sure if it's eating well or but sometimes ham is very tasty to pass up.
Then everyone needs a bit of tlc,,,,, so some much needed spa time marked the end of the weekend.
Soon I will post more about spring gardening and I planted some tomatoes that are sure coming along fast, but they not sure the weather is working with me as there was hard pelting hail to almost destroy my plants. After getting caught in the rain and hail during a walk in the park, I think I was fighting off a cold, as usual feeling tired and lazy by the beginning of the week.
Does anyone else have those days, not depression, not laziness but just blazay??
The rest of my week was pretty productive thankfully. It's time to pay more attention to my gardening, so I may be writing about that in the future blog posts. I am writing a special Mother's Day post. Have a great week.
